Any way of getting out of EE contract ?after a price increase

It was in the news paper yesterday about EE are the only network that's some how got away with price increases mid contract after a ruling by ofcom? Apparently none of the other networks can do this.

I'm not happy with my service as it is.

Just wondered if there is anyway round it.

I'm that unhappy I am thinking of getting 500 together and paying the contract off

Is it the RPI increase? Then yes they can, it's in the contract you agreed to take out.

yes it is but apparently none of the other networks can do it or something, i didnt really understand the article to be honest.

as far as i am aware, i reckon if its within inflation then you have no choice but to continue with it

Only applies to people on older (Pre-feb) contracts. The newer ones are protected - http://money.aol.co.uk/2014/04/15/ee-to-raise-prices-in-may/

Its only a 2.7% rise I would not even notice the increase
