Any way to totally disable MMS on Android (Nexus 4 stock rom)

MMS are not included in my contract and I get charged for them.

On the iPhone there is a simple toggle to turn MMS off. Is there such a thing on android?

Go to settings / More / mobile networks / Access point names / select your or provider and delete the MMS field.

But android has a tendency to decide when a group message becomes an MMS, or really long message can become MMS

i use handcent to control mms and there is an option somewhere i had to turn off that 'auto convert messages over X messages to mms'

i wonder if they do this as due to some sort of sponsor from networks
