Any work arounds for mass effect ?

The 360 copy suffers from a pretty poor frame rate. It ran like a dream on my 8800GT so it should run just fine on your system, the combat is very much 3rd person shooter style so a mouse and keyboard works just fine.

Majority are .exe replacements now, rather than the old patches. Can i ask a question though. If it doesn't use the internet, there's no technically possible way it can tell how many times it's been installed? Unless it checks internet on each start-up. Which bloody annoys me as it slows crap down. Thankfully, even Vista is easy to get around with this, so Mass Effect should be a doddle.

Might get it at lunch-time, though would be cheaper online. Got both Xbox 360 and lovely Pc in sig, anyone got experience of whether the PC port is much cop? I heard it was designed for controllers, so could be dodgy, though i hear the graphics, meu's,etc rock.

Much better on PC, on 360 you have to stop gameplay (like a pause) to use more than one ability, but on PC you can use more than 1 hotkey. (up to 7 I think)

Just a better flow on PC, also the 360 version has horrendous frame rate issues that occur way too often.

Ahh cool, hate console games. I wanna sell my 360, was just a impulse buy.

I think it might be a conversion, rahter than a port, so it's built around the PC's capabilities. I could easily DL a cracked version to bypass the annoying DRM as that's just taunting me to give them the finger, 4gb i think, but i'll be a good boy and buy it, as i hear it's a quality game, so respect to that. If i goto the shop and they want £20 for it still, i'll pull the spikey haired rentboy over the counter. But there is no chance in hell

Edit: Actually, reading a review, seems the PC version is a lot better, wow there's a first, us not getting some half-arsed version with mouse support.

I bought the 360 version recently again and just ended up downloading the PC version, I just couldn't stand the framerate issues. :|

Had played it on PC before and it felt so boring back on 360, because of all the pausing you gotta do where as on PC I had everything hotkeyed.
