I mentioned this problem in the essential apps thread but thought I might get a better response from specific Xperia users!

My problem is, up until yesterday I was able to use the "Top Contacts" widget just fine, both with the stock launcher and with Nova Launcher!

Now yesterday I did a factory reset because the Jelly Bean update seems to have had a detrimental effect on some features on the phone!

Following the reset, while I can still select the widget on the stock launcher, it now doesn't have the little "settings" icon at the top right of the widget to enable me to manage the contacts within!?!?!?

Further to this problem, it isn't even showing up in the widget list at all if I'm using Nova Launcher???

Has anyone got an Xperia phone and can tell me if their's are still working OK???

Thanks...

Well I have never used this feature but have just dropped the widget onto an empty screen, I have no way to manage the contacts either, surely there should be a way ?????

May I ask what other features the JB update affected ? My Xperia T was updated last week and now when I am playing my music, using either the Walkman player or the Google Play Music app it doesnt always play the following track....then sometimes it does. (Never had this problem before)

As for a factory reset, this doesnt revert the firmware does it ? I thought a firmware upgrade is un reversible.

Quick follow up to this,
Having just played about with settings and not finding a way, I noticed that the 8 people auto selected in my top contacts, were the same people as my call log, so I deleted the call log and my top contact widget cleared all but 2 people....and those 2 people are the only 2 contacts I have messages from.

So it would appear that "top contacts" should really be called "frequently contacted contacts" as this appears to be what's happening.
