I thought I'd ask to see if my family is not the only family that you just face palm when things go wrong. My neighbor died dafter many years and we knew her well. We kept the house safe until things got moved along and some1 bought it.

Her daughter invited us to her funeral and where more than happy to go to the service.

We got the location so we set off, only to find out that in town we have the same place with the exact same name. Of course we went to the first 1 and the doors where locked and we waited around. I then walked back to the car and slipped on ice and fell flat on my rear. In my suit :(

We carried on to the next service to only find that we turned up to some1 else’s funeral. We got talking to other members and they asked how we knew them. We said we where neighbors of her and very close friends. Turns out it was a bloke who was fighting cancer.

We appoligised and paid our respects and left.

My dad went to the wrong funeral, he turned up early and they hadn't finished the other funeral yet lol

did a similar thing a bit back. Turned up for a funeral with a group of family and started to go inside. There were a quite a few who none of use knew but we wen't with it, wasn't untill we sat down and the service had started before we worked out it was the wrong one.

So we had to sit through the entire service plus the one we were suposed to be there for :(

Never done that before but I passed out at a mates funeral. :o
I'd lost a dozen mates & thought it hadn't bothered me but it caught up on me that day, I was early & was wandering around looking at those little plaques & thinking about all my mates that were dead when I started to feel weird, I made it back to my car but couldn't get the key in the lock to get in, Next thing I knew a few blokes were standing over me asking me if I was Ok. :o
Fortunately because I was early only three people saw it & it didn't effect the funeral at all.
I found out that day that no matter how cold you think you are or how much you think you're in control, If your head switches your body off there's **** all you can do about it. :p
I'm just so glad it happened early & in the car park not stood around the grave with my mates wife/kids/family there.

I bet that you weren’t dying to get to the right funeral after all that.

my grandma turned up at the wrong funeral and complained to the woman next to her that the wrong name had been read out . she didn't realise her mistake till she was leaving and seen her friends coming in
