Any1 upgrading there 4770k?

Will be sticking with mine and will do for a few years, would rather plough the money into another GFX card or monitor to be honest. Sort of wishing i did this instead of buying the EKWB stuff.

No plans on moving from my 4770K for a while yet. Just don't see the increase in the newer platforms yet for what I use my PC for.

Skylake for me is a big disapointment.

So what is the gamers #1 choice CPU atm money being no object? Coming from someone with no PC currently. One caveat is I'd want two GPU's running at full speed in PCI-e lane.

^ If you really want your GPUs to have the full 16 lanes, then 5930K is the starting point. To be honest though, the performance degradation from running at 8x/8x on PCIe 3 is very low.

I was holding out for skylake, but now the performance is known I've treated myself to a new Z97 motherboard instead for my existing 4790K. Figured if I was going to keep this for another 2-3 years I may as well have a reliable motherboard rather than the waste of time Gigabyte one I was using.

Thank you. SOmething for me to think about.
