anybody else given up on trying to get civ 5 to run?

never encountered any issues, on windows 7 and xp.

i would like a option to skip the intro movie but it runs like a charm.

Set SkipIntroVideo to 1

That will get rid of it, but there is a quite a long black screen when booting after without it.

It runs but I don't want to play it.

2K and all the **** games they produce.

Then because they do not have the skill or capacity to release a game complete.

"We will make this the most mod friendly game ever."

Where as in reality they are making it one of the most frustrating games to produce a mod for. Every single patch is requiring serious headstratching and work to keep any original mod you produced going.

People want to be developing. Not constantly going over base code etc to try and find out what the hell they've changed now.

What could have been a brilliant game has turned out to be somehow boring and disconnected with no longevity. Mods could fix but you won't give us the ****ing chance!

You can quite frankly shove this franchise up your ass 2k morons

Crashes after two turns and this is directly after the latest patch :( When it was initially installed the game would play for 150 turns butknow it is almost a non starter.
