My son is looking to get into golf. We're looking at 2nd hand set on ebay as a cheap way to get him started but lots are collection only, i'm guessing due to the hassle of arranging postage.

Has anybody experience of a courier that will collect golf clubs without them being boxed up etc.. ?

I've used parcel2go.com before for big stuff, but not sure if they would take golf clubs, and wondered if anybody had any recommendations ?

Unpackaged golf clubs, bored delivery staff in a warehouse full of small packages... What's the worst that can happen?

they have a play with them and mark them like they already are ?

They're kids clubs so none of them are going to be in great condition. But for his first ever set its not what we're after.

Just did, :D

Have you sized him up with any yet?

Yes we are looking at US Kids ones which come in various different sizes for the appropriate heigh range.

They actually have 9 different sizes vs say Nike which only has 2. With him probably growing out of them in another year or so, buying second hand and then selling on to upgrade to another set is a must.

But the benefits of better fit outweigh the benefits of longevity i reckon.

How big is he. I have an old set that a mate gave me years ago. But they are adult sized. Just gathering dust in my shed.

He's only 9 and about 4"9.

They wont be covered for damage unless they have sufficient packaging.

So you might as well just flush your money down the toilet (or send it to me) if neither you or the sender intend on boxing them up.
