It is just me or has the 'net been proper slow of late?

I'm putting it down to the fact that the quakes caused a hell of a lot of disruption in the Chinese servers.

Anybody else been feeling the slow down?

EDIT: Yes, I know, the quake was in Chile.

Okay, so it's Chile... Anyway, perhaps it's not directly related, but for the past day or so the nets been impossibly to use slow. Also many pages refuse to load at all.

Chile, Japan. Virtually the same place. I can understand why you would mix them up. Especially as both have massive influences on the Uk broadband speeds.

Well, China, Japan... I can understand how you would mix them up ;)

Anyway, I've had limited contact with the outside world for the past week, too much work to do, so excuse me for not keeping up to speed with everything. I heard there was a quake through a friend.

And as I said, the nets been too slow to check it.

Any slow performance will be your local connection. Come and sit in our datacentre with your laptop + wifi and tell me the internet is slow :).
