Anybody feeling the quake in China?

Well, China, Japan... I can understand how you would mix them up ;)

Anyway, I've had limited contact with the outside world for the past week, too much work to do, so excuse me for not keeping up to speed with everything. I heard there was a quake through a friend.

And as I said, the nets been too slow to check it.

Even ignore the china comment. What on earth were you thinking. My internet slow, oh it must be caused by that earthquake. WTF how do you put 2 and 2 together to get 6007 as the result.

Any reasonable person would have thought darn ISP is slow or I'll try resetting router or maybe a different DNS.

Well the fact that several pages refuse to load at all... But not only for me but for my mate in the same town with different ISP and also another friend on VM, in a different city. Doesn't seem that unbelievable that they could be hosted on Chinese (or whatever for that matter) servers.

And of course I tried resetting the router etc. Thanks for calling me unreasonable.

EDIT: Plus, everyone isn't privy to your impeccable knowledge of networking...

Thanks, that's massively helpful. Especially those BBC and Sky links, which are working ever so well for me.

For those, like yourself who haven't bothered reading that I've since learned it was in Chile, let me just edit my OP.

I had a curry for tea, that tasted like Chile. Perhaps recent events in Chile is a plot for them to dominate the world by making an unrelated same-named dish be a base taste for everything! Either that or the server in China is causing disruption in my taste buds...
