anybody live on there own?

It's all about 5 minutes in the microwave then half an hour in the oven! Crispy but relatively quick too.

(jacket potatoes)

as of last night i once again live on my own, which at the moment feels a bit poo
but i do like it, i work all sorts of stupid hours and it's nice to be able to get back in, whack the tv or some music on and not worry about anyone else (neighbours dont count). it's also a big benefit as i'm trying to save money, and it means i can live on as little or as much as i want

Where is your work in leeds. Im in leeds on my own at the moment. (in a 4 bed house)

Its not bad at all. I work 9-6 mon-fri, when i get in i have dinner, watch something on tv. chill for a bit or go to mates house then go for a run and bed.

Weekend i go round mates and go out. Usually once a week ill go out with mates for a decent meal.

ps, the house is clean now my housemate have moved home due to having £0 to his name (well -£20,000 to be exact)

Depends a lot on your personality I think. I've always spent a lot of time alone, so I have no problems entertaining myself when living alone. Oddly enough, when I live with others I'm a messy git, but when on my own, I'm almost analy tidy.

I've lived on my own for the past 7 years (with a 6-month exception). To be honest, I wouldn't have it any other way (unless I found someone I could co-exist comfortably with, but fat chance of that tbh).

When I get in from work I want to relax with peace and quiet. Dealing with other people's problems, issues, dramas and noise just gets right on my ***s. My cats provide enough excitement ;)

thanks for that, so are bills generally cheaper on your own?

i heard there might be some discount with council tax aswell? is this true

anything else i can save on? trying to work it out if its actually going to be cheaper

Ditto! I thought I was a weirdo :)

I always thought living on your own would be a night mare. However I quite like the idea now. I get on well with my flat mate and we've known each other since kids. But there's just something you can't do. Loud music or films at night, walking around the house naked etc. Apart from the cost I wouldn't be put of by living on my own. Plus it means you can bring ugly birds back. Rather than ditching them after a quick session.

I live alone. My girlfriend and I have discussed moving in together but my place really isn't big enough for two (especially with all her junk!) and I think it's a bit too soon in the relationship to buy a place together.

I'm an only child so I don't have any problems with it. I enjoy having a TV that is so large that it allegedly gives my gf headaches. :)

My brother split up with is girlfriend last year and was REALLY dreading living on his own. No matter how much I told him it was great he was not looking forward to.

He bought a city pad and he loves it now. Wouldnt want it any other way.

The freedom to what you want, when you want is great.

I can play xbox on the "big telly" whenever i want :P and when I get home from work I get proper switch off time.
