• Competitor rules

Please remember that any mention of competitors, hinting at competitors or offering to provide details of competitors will result in an account suspension. The full rules can be found under the 'Terms and Rules' link in the bottom right corner of your screen. Just don't mention competitors in any way, shape or form and you'll be OK.

Anybody seen this before?

LOL, mate. I could have had similar issue with my Striker II Extreme motherboard and one of my SLI card. It seemed to have PCIe slot a bit dusted/tainted/loose, so closer inspection to that slot and redusting/recleaning/reseating card (I've done all together, so can not say now what was exactly wrong) helped.

It has a 3 year warranty, so a swap isn't a problem, but I'm thinking of asking for an exchange with an Asus PB278Q 27 and paying the difference. I don't want to have to go through this dicking around again.

If you can see it, check in ati control panel for your monitor under "My digital flat panels". Check options for "Alternative DVI operational mode" and "reduce DVI frequency on high-resolution displays" for the screen. Try them both on enabled and disabled and see if that makes a difference.

It does look like an issue I've had previously with dual dvi links not working correctly.

Some ATI cards don't have dual link DVI ports - worth confirming that your new one has? Not sure if the MDP->DVI adapters bundled with these cards are dual link DVI capable - I think you need a (more expensive) powered adapter for that. Not an issue if your display isn't more than 1080p or 1200p though. :)

... You would think.

Check out the Hazro thread in the monitors sub-forum. Many of those who were lucky enough to get a reply to their email and receive an RMA have been waiting months to hear whether they'll be getting their screen back.

It makes me wonder sometimes why companies treat people like that. Sounds like commercial suicide to me, - especially during these times.

try display port

ALSO Can people please stop dissing hazro CS, I sent them an email and i got a reply with 12 days, I sent the monitor off and had a new one within 6 days....

and that was within the last 30 days..

Yes 12 days is along time.... BUT Hazro are a small company that deal mainly in commercial area's.. what do you expect them to be? super fast to the small market share?

You were certainly one of the lucky ones then.

Hell, my replacement took three months, and I consider myself lucky :) It did take several recorded delivery letters and the intervention of OcUK though.

If they choose to sell into the public domain then yes, I would expect their service to be at least reasonable.
