I doubt it as it uses the large PSU motherboard connector. This is ideal for me as my 360 PSU has a high pitch whine and I have a spare 430W PSU lying around. Apparently MS just send out PSU's willy nilly anyway.

Anyway, had 3 PSU's for it in total, not had any noises from it as of yet.
What's this 'whine' is it just when you turn it on or does it persist until it's back off?
