Anyone any experience with overclocking the z370 fatal1ty motherboards?

You don't need to do much with RAM - just enable the XMP profile and it'll set the correct timings for you. I only upped the voltage a teeny bit as for some reason, that seemed to help me with stability.

Yes I'm watercooled and de-lidded... the CPU has it's own dedicated 480mm rad.

It's overkill, but means I can run the fans and pump at their lowest setting... even under load they don't need to spin up.

I run the CPU at 5.2GHz 24/7, don't let it cycle down... with that and my low fan/pump speeds, it idles around 40C. Under load it's 55-60C. Gets lower if I spin the fans & pump up... but I like having my system as close to silent as possible & this is almost inaudible.

On air, I'd be ok with load temps up to 75-80C.
Do you know of any decent writeups on delidding cpus shoes? I know it's a risky business so someone with your kind of knowledge and the time to do a write up on it is what I'm after. Futhermore, what voltages did you increase on the ram? I may need to follow suit on that plan and get I little more juice in them. Their a little unstable at 4000.

I didn't delid the CPU myself, I bought one from OcUK already delidded - but I'm sure there are plenty of guides out there. Maybe someone else can point you in the right direction on that one.

I upped the RAM voltage from 1.35V to 1.4V... DDR4 is safe up to about 1.5V.

ok thank you. YouTube might be my friend for more info on delidding. i'll have a fish. thought you had done your own. I can imagine its a fiddly job though and if OC are selling them ready done, why take the chance I suppose. thanks again mate:)

Yeah, I also didn't feel like mucking around with it too much and wanted to be sure the chip would hit 5.2GHz - so I bought a pre-binned CPU.
