Hi guys,

Long story short, is anyone available to have a 6000ft once over on a recent wireshark trace? I'm looking for common causes of network outages but the capture size was so massive I don't really know where or what to filter.

anyone able to help with either a complete overview or filtering suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Yeah sure I'll take a look, do you have any other info relating to the outages? Are they related to application availability/performance? Or does everything simply "go down" randomly?

Send me a link to the capture and I'll give it a good look
 
that's very kind chap, it's basically just a NAS gateway that connects to an external 'portal', just seems to drop its connection all the time for no reason, the site's networking is a bit of a nightmare but the team who look after it refuse to admit it's a networking issue so I called their bluff and asked for this capture - they provided it and now im stumped :p

I'll PM you the capture :)
