Anyone bought an iPhone in the past week or so?

So now that O2 have some decent tariff's im thinking about getting an iPhone again.

Just wondered if anyone who has got one recently (past week or two) have received one with the 1.1.3 firmware, or if it was still on 1.1.2?

I ordered mine from Apple and it was shipped on Monday and it was a 1.1.2. I was worried that since it was Apple it'd be the first place to have 1.1.3 iPhones, so I guess I was lucky. Can't say the same for you though, you might have better luck from a store or something with older stock.

Just bought one from the O2 store in the arndale centre and it's a 1.1.2 The girl said they have sold hardly any so they have loads of stock left i.e. 1.1.2 stock.

So you paid the full price without the £13 discount and got the older one without the extra applications? or is that seperate?

The £13 fee was just for iPod Touch owners like myself who bought one when they first came out. All new Touch's come with them pre-installed (or discounted) and iPhone had them anyway.

As I see it, all Touch's have it when they upgrade to 1.1.3, you just pay for the to be enabled, a la the N upgrade..

Most probably, I can't remember exactly how it was worded in iTunes but I when I opted for the additional apps I had to download the 1.1.3 firmware again.

Not sure how it works mate but knowing software it probably is just a simple "enable" switch.

If not Ill just switch over to O2 because those new rates are very good for me. Just didn't do it straight away because of the hassle of having 2 phones whilst the number gets transfered over
