Anyone clued up about CFD trading?

Indeed, he is down 5%, which costs him 50% of his gamble, plus the fees of around 10% of his gamble, as its £1.50 a day.

So his £300 investment is currently looking at around £120 return. All in a share movement from 19 odds to 18 odds. Precarious, but the gains if things had and might shift the other way are potentially large.

An interesting punt if you can throw the money away.

Statistical analysis surely? but that's only one set of tools, you also should really look at what the company and its competitors are doing in terms of structure, strategy, future projects etc.

There's a lot of research and analysis involved, if you want to make money, that is.

Statistical analysis surely?

drawing trend lines subjectively on a chart is more in the realms of TA

then again TA is rather broad and pre-dates modern statistics - you could say that statistical analysis of time series data forms a subset of TA.... most 'TA' you'll read about in popular literature is more of a mickey mouse - stats made easy approach... or just subjective nonsense with cherry picked examples

Strangely a 9 month time period represented, I'm guessing a pro wold be looking at a bunch of different charts, min by min, hour by hour, day by day , month by month, year by year and more long term depending on the investment style, and what market you're investing in.
