Just because you haven't seen them doesn't mean that they're not there.
You may have had ticks on you and not even realised it.
So this is clear.
No pictures of Spiders unless they're in spoiler tags.

This is a thread about people's fear of them.
Any further pictures that are not tagged will result in people losing access to this thread.
Ok now I'm worried, is this a tick or a spider?

I'm sure many people suffer from acrophobia Fear even. I didn't. Even in areas of the world. Snakes were another matter................
Sounds like you need to do a spot of research.
Start with finding out exactly what a tick looks like, how big the adults are, how small the nymphs are, the diseases they can carry, the places where you're most likely to encounter them...
Then find out about the places on your body they like to hide, what to do if you find one attached to you and what you can do to stop them attaching to you.
I have a routine in the warmer months. Sawyers tick repellent on my gear and as soon as I get from the outdoors a long shower with my gear stashed away, never wear my outdoor gear indoors, stash it away until it’s washed. I’ve seen what Lyme disease can do as my mate had and still suffers, he was in a bad way. I also ran a old pillow case over the ferns near my house and it collected several ticks and probably others that are not visible to the naked eye.

I've read about ticks a few times. These spiders are tiny, about 1cm, I have 2 or 3 around my house I keep to get rid of flies. They kind of resembled ticks with the roundness of their bodies.
