Anyone on here that dislikes there body?

I personally can't stand mine. I am a skinny little runt and I hate it so much.

While at uni I went to the gym and everything and I didn't really notice a change.

I have got these awful shoulder pins (little bone on each shoulder that sticks out, makes me look extra skinny.) tried doing shrugs but can't seem to get bigger traps to hide em.

Don't know what I am trying to say. I think I acctually hate my body.

I know sitting on here won't help but it's nice to vent.

So anyone else dislike there body?

you need to eat more.

if you are gyming it a lot you need to up yer diet to compensate, extra protein etc etc, if you eat the same then all that will happen is you get stronger but yer muscles will compact rather than expand.

other than that, i dont hate my body, but it sure couls do with some improvements. :p

I hate my thighs, I am small and stocky, I've always had big thighs, dad/grandad played rugby a lot, they are pretty big and I aint even done much leg work on them.

im not a fan of my body at all, but after 6/7 months in the gym im starting to see it in a better light (my body looks the best with no light!!).

give it a while tho, i will be happy with my body soon (maybe another 12 months) :]

Go see a dietician, tell them you want to gain weight, and go to the gym and learn how to build yourself up safely. It'll take time and willpower but it's fail-safe... providing you'rewilling to make the effort.

Personally since I started I.T. and am currently not doing any martial arts my body is getting out of shape... i'm furious with myself and intend to put it right very soon!

Another interesting twist to the excellent advice of hitting the gym is that with every gym session you will feel that you are DOING SOMETHING about your predicament.

You may also wish to take up a sport that suits your bodytype. If you see yourself excelling in areas that large people fail you may come to view your bodytype as 'different' instead of 'bad', and having it's own advantages and disadvantages. For example climbing, many climbers are slimmer and smaller and I have a friend who started at exactly the same time as I did and can often climb things I cannot - possibly because he is smaller than I am.

Yep, definitely eat more quality foods.

Not being 100% happy with your body is a good thing though, IMO. If you're content with your body, then there's no reason to make changes.

I guess even top class bodybuilders hate certain parts of their body, why else would they push themselves so hard in the gym?

I have these and they annoy the hell outta me. I eat a hell of a lot aswell so I don't know why i'm so skinny and put no weight on.

It sounds like you are a classic ectomorph. link

Assuming that you want to bodybuild:

You with have to be carefull not to overtrain at the gym, get plenty of rest, eat well and keep cardiovascular exercise down to a minimum.

Yup, but I'm slowly doing something about it.

Rather than going all out I've decided to make small lifestyle changes that I can stick to in the long term, rather than go all guns blazing for 3 months then give up like I have in the past.

I really need to shed some weight. I'm down about 1 stone from 19.5 to 18.5 within the last 6 weeks, with my medium term target being about 16 stone. When I get to that point I'll see how I feel and decide if I want to go further.

I'm due to move house in about 3 weeks and start work, and once I've done that I intend to join a gym that is somewhere between home and work and get into a regular routine of getting up early a few times a week and going to the gym.

When I was younger I used to be quite fit. Even though I've always had a quite large frame I used to manage judo training twice per week (weds and sat) with footie training also on a sat and often a match on Sunday.

This was during my early to mid teens. I'm now 22 and haven't excercised enough for many years and also found out the delights of many pints of guinness and a lazy student lifestyle. Whilst at Uni I put on nearly 3 stone (which is why my initial target is to get back to where I was).

Yeah im not too keen on myself either to be honest

gonna join a gym this week i think. Im a skinny runt too mate. Dressing to suit your frame helps your appearence too. When going out dont wear stuff that is big and baggy on your top cos it makes you look skinnier.

I dont wear tshirts unless its roasting hot because my arms are like twigs and ive got a bit of a complex regarding them. With a good diet and gym routine you are on a good ground for gain. Its better to bulk up from a skinny frame than being fat and wanting to look trim.

With training people like us get a more athletic build than big fellas who just get huuuuge :D

Im very happy with my body at the moment but it only bulked up when i got to uni and i started climbing and playing hockey lots. Now I have a well sculpted body that is very low fat but all muscle. You will need to eat more than you burn to put on the weight, I eat lots but thats because im a heffer.

Basically do sport/ weights and eat lots of good foods.

I'm generally quite happy with my body, have quite a big build which i've had since highschool but got considerably bigger during sixth form, between sixth form and uni i've also lost considerable body fat whilst maintaining the same weight which I am also happy with. Next goal/target is even reduced bodyfat (give me another 12 months) and then i'm going to start increasing my build size again.

Slowly changing my lifestyle to sort out my weight. 18st at the moment and 5' 10" so I've cut out the currys and ready meals to stuff like pasta & tuna or basmalti rice with chicken breast. Other smaller changes as well like less time on the couch and doing more housework to excercise while feeling like I'm doing something useful.

At work instead of sitting on my office chair waiting for users phoning wanting support I'm pacing up and down the room keeping active.

I wont see a major change right away but I'm trying to change the way I live rather than "couch potato".

I don't like mine, and it doesn't benefit my rugby. So i'm changing my diet, got a routine for the gym :)

My legs are BIG, my whole body is big though, it's all in proportion big just BIG. I am overweight, but a big lad too :p

I've got a bit of a beer belly on the go so I'm starting getting back doing excersice. Really need to join a gym but I have no motivation :p

I'm not going to change my diet or drinking habbits (main problem!) so hopefully doing plenty of excersice will help me out.

I don't hate my body, but I know it could be in better condition! Spare tyre that would fit a Bentley atm :o

I am doing something about it though, I bought a bike a couple of weeks ago to go to work on. First couple of times I felt utterly knackered and looked as though my head was about to explode, now its a breeze and I use the bike for pretty much every trip except the weekly shop, so I've dropped from 235lb to 225lb already :)

Biking is a great way to lose weight, I have just done about 5 months biking to work and everywhere else. Winter is coming now and its going to be a lot hard to bike it due to the cold weather at 5am. :(
