Just noticed for 2 quid a month they can do weekly home delivery weekly which sounds good, but wondered if the delivery man brings the shopping in a crate or basket to your door step ?

Since my dads a pensioner just wondered if they leave the crate/basket in the home or if they need it back asap, cant expect an oap to put the shopping away in seconds !

Anyhow know would be grateful thanks

Oh figured they would let you keep the bags at least- yeah if one can give them back the following week rather do that, thanks again for the info.

I was carless for a while and made use of their home delivery. They delivered in bags, not crates. I suggested to them that they should deliver in boxes and the next time they did.

But I wouldn't choose Asda for home delivery: they made too many substitutions, particularly when it came to bread, and the substitutions were usually of poorer quality.

You can choose no substitution for individual items and refuse them at the door if you're not happy with them.

Online shopping just seems to be a way for the stores to get rid of the items in store that people don't want because they are near their use-by or they are visually unappealing. Always preferred going in store for that reason :\

Obviously this doesn't help a pensioner but I just wanted to rant.

It isn't. The online shopping pickers have no reason to be giving you poor quality or short-life items deliberately. They're told to pick from the back of the shelf to give you the best dates.

Tesco do unlimited delivery for £3 a month and always ask where you want it - pretty sure they'll bring it in and at least unpack onto the counter top for you.

Yeah still debating it really we just worked out that some of our shopping is actually £30 or £35 per week, and the issue is right away that asda want £40 min shopping to do delivery.

No wonder why they can afford to offer £2-3 per month on deliveries for your goods !

If they made it £30 or 35 would have been good for old man, will see anyhow.
