Anyone else a little miffed at the amount of packaging at Xmas, also, those with kids, what were your main gripes with family and friends?

I gave up before I got to the end of the thread title.

Similarly to other things in life, being ‘emotionally gentle’ and remembering to ‘let go’ tend to be necessary for a peaceful family holiday.

I use brown (non shiny) recycled paper for wrapping.

Next year I'm pushing for no presents/secret santa so only have to buy one.

All we do anyway is ask each other what other wants buy it. May as well just not.

Don't really get the need for presents when you're older. I bet loads end up chucked away. Waste of money, stress, and wasteful.

Little presents are the worst imo. Use them on day and often never again.

Even as a kid I didn't like the tat I got. I always preferred the one big present you couldn't really get yourself.
