I'm sitting here looking through my Steam library and the store, and nothing is interesting me anymore. What is going on? :( I even sold my PS3 last week!

The only thing I feel like playing is Morrowind, but even then I'm afraid It'll ruin the memories once I see the graphics.

This is terrible.

Are you not even interested in The Last of Us in just under two weeks, or Beyond: Two Souls later in the year?

I started feeling like that at the end of last year ish... Only just really started again, took 5 months to snap out of it properly!

Try some different games.

I got bored several years ago and didnt play anything really for ages.
Before trying out some other types of games.

It's no longer FPS it's now things like KSP, Minecraft, don't starve

The sun's out - go ride bike or something :p Gaming is great for those long winter nights where there's nothing else to do. And everyone gets burned out eventually.

I feel like this all the time, then a great game comes along and I play it to death and then feel the same again :D.

I'm finding that there are less and less "big" games that I am remotely interested in.

However I think that is just to do with the phase of Box Office Movie style AAA titles the industry seems to be going through right now.

The thing is though if you look outside of your comfort zone, the diversity of the indy market is astonishing. Yes a large proportion of it is utter garbage but there are some real gems.

I know that feeling. Skyrim was the last game that got me really into it. Every game since then, I've enjoyed sure, but nothing has grabbed me to the point where I may lose sleep just to go an extra hour.

I've bought games like Minecraft, Xcom, Guildwars 2, Bioshock Infinite and Wargame: AirLand Battle. All good games, but it's like "meh". The next game I am looking forward to is Planetary Annihilation. Loved Total Annihilation and Supreme Commander, so this should hopefully be good.

But as you said Glaucus, maybe trying different games is the answer. The one genre I have really avoided is horror. May just have to bite the bullet and try a few games. :p

More to life than gaming.

More to life than browsing a forum, or watching videos on youtube, or checking facebook every 10 minutes, or watching TV, or playing sports most of the day, or...you get the point ;)

You just need to find the right game that ticks all your boxes. I know how you feel, Ive got a Steam library overflowing with games, hardly any have been completed. I turn on the PC, load up Steam and have no idea where to start and what to play.

Although its hard, my advice is choose a game and just stick with it, dont play anything else, just get engrossed in that one game.

Hopefully the right game will come along for you that will suck you right back in and keep you entertained for ages. Left 4 Dead did this for me ages ago, didnt have anything of interest to play and then this came along. Loved that game so much I played it non stop.

Its a shame you sold your PS3 really, right about the time The Last of Us is getting released. Im really looking forward to that.

Right, that's it... I've decided to rediscover the holy grail of gaming. Here goes... :D

I've been gaming for around 30 years & will always go through a phase of where I just get bored with it, as others have as well no doubt.

It always passes thought after a few weeks / month or two.

Well, if I ever felt bored of crack, cocaine or heroin, I wouldn't whine about it. :D

More seriously, I feel the same about some games. But some I just can't stop (TF2). Some games I look forward to replay, some I don't even want to finish. But a complete withdrawal, never!

My last game I can truly say I loved was bf2. I would still be playing that if there was any competitive ladders going.

Ever since, I've bought hundreds of games and none last more than a few months at best! Most I turn off after 30 mins without even giving them a proper chance =(
