Anyone else feeling old?

Not so far back, but I saw Stardust on Tv several days ago, and mused that it only felt like a few years old, maybe 2011 ish. Turns out it's 7 1/2 and was in mind 2007.
I couldn't believe that nearly 8 years had passed since then. I felt like time was getting faster, but that's the side affect of age.

its true what they say, times goes quicker when you're older.

I used to be sat in class in secondary school like, jesus its been a long week. and it was only tuesday.

now, time goes so quickly, its friday evening before i know it and time for the weekend.

Yea starting to feel it (physically rather than mentally!!)

Turn 40 in October and first child due in June.

I've taken to looking up my favourite films as a child and seeing how many of the actors/actresses are now dead!!

At 50 I'm starting to feel I'm past my prime physically, and I've put on weight which is proving difficult to shift. Mentally though, I feel just the same as I did 20 years ago.

I can honestly say that I feel more awesome the more into my thirties I get. My forties, however, may be another matter.

Ha! That's rather depressing. It sounds like you're well on the way to a mid life crisis! So what's your flavour? Convertiable? Motorbike? Something with a GoPro? :D

I took my son to see Toy Story at the cinema the other day as part of Vue's Disney days. It was really good, he took his Woody soft toy.

Turns out Toy Story was released 20 years ago on the 22nd of November 1995

I remember it like it was yesterday, going to see this film at the cinema! :(

anyone else feeling really old? are there any intances of things you remember like it was yesterday?

What??!! 20 years!! Well, if I wasn't feeling old before, I certainly am now. Thanks mate :D

I watched it the other day actually, and Toy Story 2.... prepping for my little boy watching some Disney.

He's only 9 months old and a long way off watching TV but I started dusting off the old DVDs to rip and start building him a folder on the media TV. I thought it aged well and had me hooked, I enjoyed watching it.

So I sat down with the kids yesterday to watch a family film, you know, typical boring sunday.

So we all decided, lets watch toy story! Haven't seen it in ages! As we were watching it I thought i'd recognised one of the voice actors from another film so i decided to check it up on IMDB..

One thing that happens to me occasionally I've come to call the "moment". I'll be talking to someone about something that happened x amount of years ago and then just stop and think, ****. Being able to remember back to things that happened 20 years ago when I would have been 15 and that kind of thing. Just wonder where the time went.

Don't feel old at 34. Probably won't feel old at 50.

People who think that constitutes "old" are simply so young that they don't know any better.

There are some amazing older people out there doing incredible stuff. When I used to run at uni I would often meet a guy who looked like he was at least 60. He'd overtake me and I'd eat his dust, every time.

Heh! I always think of this everytime a film or old comedy show has finished on Sky and you see the year. My god, 1994, 99…

Though what depresses me the most of the memories of these old films/shows was, I remember longer and better summers in the 90s.

Britain seems to be wetter and colder nowadays with poorer summers. Shorter summers as well.

I hate getting old, HATE IT!!! I remember my Dad taking me see Star Wars in London.

Enjoy your youth while you can you young'uns.

Home Alone gets me. Vividly remember watching it at the cinema.

It was 25 years ago!!!!!! That's a quarter of a century. It's not fair. Why do we have to get old and Des O'Connor doesn't?

I turn 50 later this year and while the mind and spirit are willing; it's pretty obvious that my body's got a few miles on it these days.

- One late night takes 2-3 early ones to recover
- More than 3 pints in an evening and I fell very secondhand the next morning.
- My body sounds like pouring milk over a bowl of Rice Krispies when I get out of bed: Snap, Crackle and Pop...

40 this year, trying to keep active running and gym 3 times a week, few things creek and crack in the morning but I can handle that....

I was watching the kids tv with them yesterday and wondering what happened to Mighty Mouse, He-Man and the other cartoons I used to love at their age!!

I agree! What is up with that!? I remember summers when I was a kid/ teenager being really nice. Long summer days, not getting dark till near 10pm and and staying warm throughout. I used to have a small snooker table on my back patio in the summer and used to have marathon matches with mates that went on till like 9pm without having a light to turn on in my back garden. It seems like a proper reliable nice summer hasnt existed in years.

I'm 28 in May and dont generally feel too old, apart from things happening like what people mention in this thread about release dates of films and music.

I just turned 30 about 2 months ago.

For many people years in age is just a number. However, sometimes it does help to put things in perspective.

It was somewhere scary to realise you are already in this world for 30 years. Still feel like I have no clue to how the world works.

I can see there are many here that just turned 40. Must been equally, if not even more scary than turning 30.
