Anyone else find there just isn't enough time for games?

Back in the day before I was a parent I think I played about 5 hour a night and usually about 20 over the weekend.

Now its less than 2 hours a week :( (It could be more if I could be bothered, I just cant find the enthusiasm at the moment)

There is also the problem of no game has really hooked you like Halo 2 did. I am sure if there was one you would be on the majority of the week. I have a similar problem, but there just hasn't been that one game that hooks me since the Halo 2 scene died.

I am hoping and praying that Bungie make Halo Reach perfect, but I'm not holding my breath.

Problem for me is that this month, ive got Ashes cricket, Wolfenstein and Prototype all waiting to be played but i have my bro and his kids over from Canada...they have been here since the start of this month...because my nephew, whos 6 loves the 360...ive had to go and buy him a few games ie Lego star wars and crash of the titans...so hes been busy playing those and ive hardly had any time to play them...plus i have Batman arkham coming at some point this week...so got plenty of games to get through but wont be able to till my nephew goes next monday...

Our second is currently 6 weeks old. I'm on duty for the 11pm bottle feed, which basically absorbs my last-thing-at-night gaming session.

I'm also supposed to be studying for my tax qualifications, so that'll be taking up a lot of time pretty soon.

Still, I get to play my DS on the train, so it's not all bad.

I have the 11pm feeding duty too - but with twice the feeding. I also get roped in to doing the morning feed when i can go in to work a little late - and somehow find myself doing a feed soon as i enter the house too more often than not!

I have played my ps3 once since they came home... /sigh. Of course my warcraft account was deactivated too straight away. I think as their feeding gets easier i might get time to play ps3 again. I cant see myself ever getting time for warcraft again though - which is a real pain cos the cataclysm update looks like it's going to be awesome.

I dunno, I would consider myself to have a fairly busy life but I find time for gaming. I live with my girlfriend but she works nights which helps I suppose, generally there's only 1 night between Monday and Friday where she's off and we're in the house together then the weekends we're both off.

I usually exercise and get ready for work in the mornings, work from 12 to 8pm. Get home from work and have a bit of grub and I'm on the PC or PS3 usually for 9pm and that's me until 12am or 1am. I don't have any kids but I do have a dog (west highland terrier) and she's very attention seeking lol, if I don't mess around with her or pet her enough she stands up on her legs and starts scratching my knees lol.

I get some gaming done at the weekends aswell, Michelle is a bit of a girly girl she's not into gaming at all but she's very understanding she'll allow me a few hours until we do whatever we got planned that night. So yeah, I get a few hours most weekdays and a few more at the weekends.

Lucky guy I am :)

I'm lucky as I'm living with my girlfriend and 2 and a half year old son in a 3 bed semi. The girfriend can what what she likes all night as I have my own games room in the spare room upstairs.
I usually play once my son is in bed so about 8 - 12 most nights and until about 4.00am Saturday night/Sunday morning.

I have a very understanding girlfiend when it comes to my gaming, she knows how much I love it. Just got lucky I suppose.

Anyone who shares a tv with the other half has to get their own. You know what their like when it comes to crap on tv.

I don't get that much time at the moment, as I have a 2 and half week old daughter!

My wife doesn't mind me playing at all though, and doesn't object to me having a couple of hours or so gaming an evening, but at the moment I'd rather not...my priorities have changed somewhat!

Congratulations :D

Seriously I must accidently miss the bars that you all meet these women who don't mind or actually like gaming :P All the ones I meet hate it. Although still none as bad as my best mates wife, he has to ask permission to come play on Xbox Live with me :/

You kidding?

My daughter was born in April and for the first month or so when we were just settling in I was always saying to my wife "Don't worry honey, you go off up to bed and I'll look after the wee one." knowing full well she'd just sleep most of the time and only wake up to be fed.

Never had a month with as much gaming since I got married.:)
