Anyone else find there just isn't enough time for games?

Ive actually had to give myself time tables to fit everything + gaming in :\ but now when i do game im almost completely concentrated on just completing it - so the fun goes then too!

It's strange because i'm the first to moan about how games seem to be gettign easier/impossible to "die". But without all that i guess games would take even longer.

Gah - can we please rewind 8 years? I liked it back then :(

Actually I say I have plenty of time but I play for about an hour every 3 days. It seems that you guys want 2 hour plus per night!

Back in the day before I was a parent I think I played about 5 hour a night and usually about 20 over the weekend.

Now its less than 2 hours a week :( (It could be more if I could be bothered, I just cant find the enthusiasm at the moment)

My typical working week:

I wake up at 7am, get ready for work, surf the net or have a game until I am ready to leave for work which is normally around 9am. Arrive at work at 10am, work till 6pm, arrive home at 7pm. I sometimes have 2 meals at work to avoid having any tea when I get home. From 8pm onwards till when I go to bed I have time for surfing and gaming. I normally go to bed around 11/12 ish.

I'm out of the house for 10 hours a day and still find time to game :)

My tip for you is: Sleep less, there's plenty of time for sleeping when your dead* :D

*This is in no way meant as a threat to your life. ;)

It is possible to balance time with Her Indoor and still game. As for your problem (in bold) I would suggest getting a second TV. HD tv's can be had for peanuts now.

..so I get to buy a 32" LCD HDTV while she watches corrie on the 60" Kuro? ;)

She only hates the gaming when it involves long cut scenes (MGS4 drove her wild) or repetitive play. I'm trying to teach her some SF4.

It's why I prefer short/average length games these days otherwise I just don't finish them. Shadow Complex was spot on in terms of length. CoD4 is great because I can jump in and out of MP as and when.

Batman looks promising at around 15 hours. Bit longer than I would like but the review on Gametrailers makes it sounds like it doesn't drag at all.

and 2 kids !

Our second is currently 6 weeks old. I'm on duty for the 11pm bottle feed, which basically absorbs my last-thing-at-night gaming session.

I'm also supposed to be studying for my tax qualifications, so that'll be taking up a lot of time pretty soon.

Still, I get to play my DS on the train, so it's not all bad.

I was struggling to find anything to play a couple of months back, but now I have loads. Just got a Playstation which obviously helped massively, but even on the Xbox I recently picked up Prince of Persia, SFIV and Tales of Vesperia. That isn't including PC which I got a couple of games for. So, at the moment, I have lots to play and probably not enough time to get them all done before we see more coming around October -> November :)

Suits me though really, by the time I get all these games finished the newer ones will have dropped in price and there'll be second hand deals around.

I've just started of a new relationship, so you'd think my gaming time would be cut down, but you'd be wrong!

I brought her back to mine after a night out with work mates (drinks and a curry). Got back to mine where she noticed the TV and 360. "Wow, you got a 360... where's your games", so I point them out "Fancy a game on Fifa Andy?" - Erm, wtf? Bonus.

So I have plenty of time for gaming, whenever she's over she wants to play stuff like GTA4, Pro Evo / Fifa, Forza.... happy days.

I'm just trying to finish of Godfather two (two more fmailies to take over) then I can send the three rental games back and get another couple back. I have Friday off to take my car in for it's service, so I'd expect the three games around then, plus Batman as well! Girlfriend is at Reading, so no interuptions for Co-op! 4 day weekend for gaming :D

Marry her, quickly :P

3 hours a day!

It isn't that I don't have the time, more that I don't feel that it is worth spending the time playing games anymore. I just outgrew my interest I guess.

In fact, I think OCUK has replaced the time I would otherwise spend gaming -
far more interactive and productive.

After alisha was born i hardly have any time to game like i used to, Even when i do have time i'm usually tired and only have 10 mins or so before i become bored and turn it off. This could all change shortly though due the possibility of me moving back to ma's.

By the time I finish work, dinner and get my 6 year old boy to bed it's 8 o'clock, have some coffee and some time with my GF, usually I have some time to game at 10 o'clock so that is about 2 hours a day max.

Saturdays is doing work in and out the house/garden etc....

And with my 2nd boy being born any time I guess I can just as well sell the PS3 :o
