Anyone else gone back to MW2 ?

What they have done is try to take away the host advantage to balance you with the rest of us mere mortals. Which is probably why I am having a better time of it than the last one.

People that used to get host a lot are having a mixed bag of it. Can't you get a lag switch to stand on to make sure you don't pull host and get nobbled?

Almost all 360 games are a connection lottery.
 
I never pull host in Bops and I do very rarely pull host in MW2 it's 3 bar and less for everyone else when I am, it's the lag compensation that the host gives the clients that is the problem, I think the problem is that I had my line changed to fast path which lowered my ping and made a huge difference in MW2, but in Bops I get penalised for it there is a formulae on the rubber banding that bops gives lower ping players over higher but it is an average and if you fall just outside then all is ok where as if you fall in the rubber band then the game compensates your connection not what you see on the screen hence the frustration at the "he killed me with 1 bullet" kill when the cam/theatre shows him hit you with 5, or the "it took 15 bullets to kill him" when it really did which does show as the host ignored the first 5-6 bullets.

An easy test I used to do in MW2 to get a feel straight of the bat on low bar games was to throw a flash/stun at spawn and mental note the time between button press and leaving my artificial hand this can be then used to pre fire on running players shoot slightly in front and they go down. This was easy on MW2 as the lag was a constant on Bops it doesn't work like this.
