Anyone else had loads of hardware issues with AMD current gen?

Just realised I forgot to mention in the OP the 7970 lightning BE I tried too! :D

Though not sure there was anything wrong with the card itself, having displayport issues, but the lack of dual link dvi meant I did not have a fallback for 2560x100.

Ah well, the 670's are running sweet - apaart from I played with my fan setup and mucked up my temps, and now for some reason can't get them as good as I had...

My main issue at the moment is if I load something that fires up 3d clocks I.e. a game, then close the game and try open something that monitors the cards like gpuz, ab, trixx etc...my system instantly hangs leaving no other option then to hard shut down.

Wish my 7970 would wake up my screen in the morning when i power the monitor on. I have to pull out and plug in the dvi cable to get the screen on lol. Always been this way.

Exactly same happens to me, only happens either in Crossfire for me now. Also if I leave GPU-Z in the background for instance it causes crashes, it happens when the card goes from a high -> low load when being monitored. I found that I can use my ASUS RIVES monitoring software but nothing else.

Should have said I'm in crossfire with dual 7970's too.

Systems been all to pot lately, clean format after xmas for me.

I also got random artifacts on low end titles like fifa13, but not in high end titles like far cry 3 etc...

Personally I think beta11 is a buggy mess.

Beta 4s were rock solid for me, but beta 11's - which I only installed for the FC3 performance - have been poor.

Driver stopped responding; crashes in BF3; small artifacting

etc, etc. It's all good though - it's a beta driver and I shall be patient :).

Games for the most part run fine on beta11, it's just the monitor system locks and what I presume is idle clock dropping in less demanding games giving me artifacts, will be away from my system for a few weeks so when I get back to it I'll reinstall windows and either try the then latest betas or roll back to beta4.
