anyone else have problems with the latest firefox

I seem to be riddled with problems, contant not responding messages, randomly closing itself down, utter slowness even compared to IE9.

tried a re-install and still the same, anyone recommend a better one thats very similar to firefox?

I used FireFox form the early days and each build added more stuff, used more memory and got slower

The best option (IMO) now is Chrome.

never had any problems myself. i can only assume you people are using duff plugins.

Not had much issue with newest Firefox while at work, but like above, I have hardly any plugins.

Or a broken profile, or could be something like overly keen AV software

No problems here, usually plugins or profile problem as suggested.

No problems here either on Waterfox or Firefox (Aurora).

what do u mean by profile, only plugins i use are, adobe acrobat reader,googleupdate,quickime plugin,shockwave flash and silverlight plugin

extensions are just british english dictionary

Your Firefox profile is where the extensions, bookmarks etc are stored. When you uninstall it, sometimes these stay behind, so when you reinstall firefox, you keep all bookmarks etc.

I keep having freezing problems so I am going to backup my bookmarks and do a clean install of Windows and then manually add plugins back in which I use all the time.
