Anyone else having problems with a load of websites not loading?

Ah thats what it was, Plusnet here too, though I'm already using OpenDNS...

If its not resolved by the time I get back home I'll try Googles DNS.

I also had issues and changed my DNS servers to Google in Windows 7 but would like to do it via the router but that seems overly complex involving Telnet. Is there an easier way to change DNS servers on a Technicolor TG582n

Seems related:

Plusnet, the internet service provider, has suffered a "Major Service Incident" which started on Wednesday night. The outage continued until this morning.

Users are complaining that they cannot visit a number of websites. Some were able to mitigate the TITSUP by changing their DNS provider.

A Plusnet staffer told its community forums:

We are in the process of investigating this now. I will provide on this thread, and our Twitter pages as soon as I receive more information.

Our systems where we provide the service status are also unfortunately down, but I will endeavour to get one up as soon as I have the facility to.

Really sorry for the inconvenience caused.

Yeah, just had an openreach engineer here to upgrade my xln business line to fibre, and he mentioned the plusnet problems. Said the servers were down.

Until today, I've always found google's DNS to be slower than plusnet's own. Changed it back this morning and will probably keep them for a little while now.
