Anyone else having trouble connecting to steam

I cannot seem to connect to it or the troubleshooting pages at all everything else is working fine. anyone else finding this?

Just tried now and get a box titled Connection Error. Can go to offline mode.

Just started Steam and its loaded fine.

Startrek online head start users are hammering it to death at the mo. im sure it will calm down sooner or later. but im guessing this weekends going to be rather iffy.

I had this issue, just fixed it by deleting the clientregistry.blob file in the main steam folder

Maybe the steam servers are getting overloaded with the BFBC beta going on.
