Anyone else just plain annoyed that BF4 exists?

For the past 5 months or so I have been perfectly happy playing BF4, it has everything you need to have fun in a game. Recently I thought, 'lets have a good ol look at BF3' and then I just started to dislike BF4. Was it just the fact that the next gen consoles were coming out that they released what i'd call a Beta game.. I just imagine how good of a game we would have had if it was released now.. Then again I'm not going to stop playing it, I just feel cheated and that their next title will have to blow me away

BF3 was the introduction to pc gaming for me so only experienced Bad company on Xbox however it was still brilliant on that

On one of the zillions of posts on the BF4 forums about BF4 failure, somebody replied to a poster that BF4 wasn't a FPS game, I raged at that, then thought about it, and agreed, its not, its a FPS+some-other-game-style-not-yet-invented.

If you go into it expecting less, then it delivers, but CS 1.5 or Quakeworld it is not.

I think there was just too many people expecting it to be a great game and getting it on release and then just thinking 'oh its dice, they'll fix it'..

It's an FPS arcade simulator :p

BF3 wasn't too bad in my opinion, I never really play any of the vehicle modes myself. The issue with BF4 is that it is so damn buggy. If hitreg was fine I don't think I would be as bothered by the other issues.

The major issue with BF3 was the hit reg, probs still is.

Bad Company was the one for me, never got into 3 and punkbuster errors have driven me away from 4 pretty sharpish.

This. I get kicked from every BF4 game I try and join due to this. I've done everything I could but still keep getting kicked.

Given up now. Will try again sometime next year

Yep, hitreg is appalling in BF4 was bad in BF3 but BF4 is a joke, had fun for a couple of months and unistalled it now and gone back to homefront. At least when i aim there i know it will hit something.

(I still think homefront was a amazing game, so like Enemy Territory in many ways just ruined by a shakey release and a couple of weeks before COD noobs came out to play and slated it)

Sadly par for the course it seems with Battlefield games, frustratingly I'd really enjoy BF4 but theres just too many glitches and the "netcode" to deal with.

Also RE the point above about not being an "FPS game" - they've tried to make it sort of COD with vehicles - and it would work if they just increased the **** client update rate and fixed some of the glitches like the movement issues i.e. when you can't walk over a 2 inch high object due to the angle your at :S also things like the supression system - they need to decide to either make it a fully tactical shooter or an arcade COD like experience and adjust accordingly not some half arsed slapped in implementation that just makes it frustrating for anyone who tries to take either of those approaches.

If only there was an updated version of novalogics joint ops. That was an awesome game, 2x the player numbers of bf games and no net issues.

BC2 was the best BF for me, followed by BF3 for it's multi-player, it's still pretty fun, if it is annoyingly unbalanced and buggy in places. BF4, I haven't got, but the game still interests me, but can't believe the price they're selling it at for what it's supposedly worth, with all it's bugs n' all.

That was an amazing game, played that for at least a couple of years with a military clan and mates. The Co-Op missions were brilliant!

128 man servers!

Some of the most hilarious moments ever were in that game. We discovered you could get a dingy inside a transport helicopter, so 6 of us flew the heli to as high as it would go over a capture point far inland which was being contested by dozens of people on each side.
The game had a bug where you wouldn't receive any fall damage if you were in a vehicle.
So in the middle of a firefight a dingy drops out of the sky with 6 guys in it who jump out guns blazing (followed shortly by a helicopter crashing to the ground):D
Just loads of comments in the on screen chat 'WTF?!! DINGY!!??':p:D

Joint ops also had proper sniping in it, which made a nice change. The best BF game for me is still probably BF3 with the close quarters expansion pack. Its far more fun than any call of duty game and needs teamwork to win rounds on it, unlike COD. The lack of vehicles didn't harm it in any way either. BF4 desperately needs something like this to exist, especially with the sheer amount of weapons available. The vehicle combat is so unbalanced its almost painful to play.
