Anyone else looking forward to Metroid Prime3: Corruption?

Im looking forward to this game (coming 2007). It carries on the Metroid Prime Trilogy, and will be the finale, introducing more humanoid characters into the story. The original Metroid Prime games were some of the games which showed what the original GC could really do, and whilst it wont be able to reach the heights of the Xbox360/Pissy3..errr PS3, the original games still hold thier own graphically, and the Wii has 1.5x pure grunt more, which could result in the end result looking very very nice for the Wii, and possibly giving a few of the Xbox360/PS3 games a shot in the dark at so to speak. The control style of the Wii would also lend itself to the game, the visor and gunarm scanning can now be done by directional sensor, rather than the less precise control pad.

Considering the caliber of all previous Metroid games, I think, combined with the new Zelda game, this could be a real machine shifter for Nintendo and the Wii, what do you lot think?

As much as i like the wii and like playing red steel and cod3 on it, im just not that fussed about mp3, i played mp2 on the cube and for what ever reason the game just never clicked with me.

I hope it'll be great, the original Metroid Prime was fantastic. The sequel a very good game, but not so good as the first - less variety in environments, and it just didn't have the same feeling as Metroid Prime.

I love the Metroid series, and have very high hopes for the Wii version. When it comes to creating an eerily lonely and tense atmosphere, as well as the sense of exploration at the discovery of some distant alien world, Metroid Prime sits comfortably at the top.

I can't wait to see what they do with the Wii version of Prime, Metroid Prime is one of the relatively few games in recent years that has held my attention all the way to the end

For me, the Prime games have been probably the best of this generation - I bought my GC for the first Metroid Prime & I'll buy my Wii for Corruption if I can't afford one before.

This is the title that will sell the Wii to me I loved the last 2.

I hope it arrives before the summer in europe and we don't have to put up with the long delays between US and EUR launches like we did with the cube.

Same here.. Metroid is probably my fav game of the past few years.. I just hope the next one has some easier bosses than Echoes.. (especially the final one (s))

I got to the final boss in Echoes, but haven't managed to kill it

I'll have to try again before MP3 comes out.

I highly recommend you head there, and download the "ship walkthru" video. Non insiders can view the low res video, which should give you a small idea how it plays. Seems that the wii mote is used for aiming, the nunchuck to walk (from what I can tell from the video at the least).

Having watched the ship walkthrough video Im really quite looking forward to that now. Doesnt look HUGELY better than the GC version, but definately looks like theres more going on, and more effects. Even with the lower res, it looks like its gonna be pretty nice to look at.

The controls look pretty decent too.

I didn't find the last boss of Echoes too bad - but that one you fight as the ball with the electric gates - my god that almost broke me.
