Anyone else moved from Windows Mobile to the IPhone 3g?

As you may have noticed my other post talks about the touch diamond and I have bought one. I have had windows based mobiles and PDA's for about 10years now and I have had enough.

The diamond is a nice phone but its just still fiddly to use. I love the extra programs you can put on but I rarely use them. The Battery life is beyond a joke and I find the screen just a tad too small for my liking.

A work colleague had the 1st iphone a week ago and he was admiring my diamond then I had a go on the iphone, it just blew me away and made my diamond look 2years old!!

So...

I have the option which I have just taken to swap my diamond for a new iphone 3g and O2 contract at no cost to me.

Anyone else defected and not looked back?

I have read many respected reviews and they all say the iphone is great despite it flaws, but mainly because of the userbility and thats what im after!
 
i just sold my HTC Tytn ii for an iphone 3G and although i do miss the customization of windows i feel that the iphone has a much better interface but as i have only been using it since this morning i can't say to much.
 
Ive had windows mobiles since the first SPV

i bought an iphone last august .....Ive not put it down since.

Ive had windows mobiles since then (samsung i780 / diamond)..i had the diamond for 2 days before i sent it back.

Iphone's so stable and just works.

I have used Blackberry's, Windows Mobile/PDA, Symbian and I also now want an iPhone. Although they seem to expensive and I think I will miss some of the functions of my N95. It is a very sexy phone.

The only other major complaint I have about the iPhone 3G’s A-GPS is that it appears to be a CPU hog as the entire Google Maps interface stalls a lot more with it active. Thankfully it doesn’t appear to remain active after you’ve quit Google Maps (hooray for no background tasks?), but this is further proof that Apple needs more processing power in the iPhone. Intel had better hurry up with its Atom strategy, the iPhone is ripe for such a powerful core...

Its quotes like the one above that will make me wait until the next release. Hopefully in 17 months my current contract will be up and I will be able to get one then.

Can the new 3G version be bought contract free at the moment from an O2 store? After buying a few for work but don't want to be tied to new contracts.
 
Apple haven't got a bad product right now, but they haven't tempted me yet. It took them 5 revisions of the iPod before i ponyed up and even that was for a second hand one (:p) I feel they'll get there in the end, i'm not saying this is bad now, but if you look bad of the iPod line you can see how things only gradually get better :)
