I know its strange but im 22, 23 next year and never have been a big drinker, as in I can't remember when I had a drink.

When turned 18 and went clubbing with mates I used to have a couple then just leave it at that.
I never drink when I'm at home and when at a pub with mates normally just have a coke.

Loads of people ask my why I never drink and theres really no reason, just other than I'm not really bothered by it.
I can have a good time without it even when all my mates are all ****** up and I'm not.

Just wondered if anyone else was in the same boat!? as most of my mates go out to get hammered all the time.

My girl friend thinks its to do with that I like being in control or something ? :D

No swearing

your not the only one, im 26 now and i havent had a drink since i was 20. i just stick to cokes. Guess im the same as you were drinking doesnt bother me at all and at the end of the day it your choice. ;)

I'm the same mate. I used to drink in the first year at uni, just because I thought it was the right thing to do (peer pressure I guess?) but I've never liked it, either the taste or just the feeling of getting drunk. I realised this at the end of my first uni at uni and so just stopped drinking. All of my mates like drinking and I go out with them now and then. I like chilling in a pub with them, I just drink water or coke, and just chat. I've always hated clubbing so I don't do that anyway. tbh I just say do what makes you happy. :D

I don't really drink that much. I've been out for my 21st (two years ago) and got quite drunk. I don't really care for going out and drinking, I'm happy staying in. Probably got the wrong kind of flatmates then.

Nah I'm not a big drinker either really. When I was younger I drank a lot, and got very drunk, but after a while came to the conclusion that having a few drinks and relaxing is better than getting completely drunk.

I do still drink alcohol, but going out and getting hammered is pretty rare for me now.

I'm kinda like that and I'm 17.All of my mates on a Friday Night will go to other peoples house to get hammered whilst I dont really wanna drink. Don't see the big deal in getting hammered. I can have fun without being drunk.

I'm the same, never really drink much. If i do get drunk then its on bacardi/vodka or something like that.

I find that beer makes me ill before it gets me drunk :( , Probably because im quite a big bloke.

In the same boat.

The main reason is that I dont like the taste, i'd rather just drink loads of coke. Another reason is that I drive most days so would rather not risk my licence.

Same here for the same reasons and with the money saved I can use it for a nice new toy :D

Nope, don't drink here either. It just doesn't interest me at all. I pretty much only drink water, milk (usually over a pint a day of milk) and orange squash; because I don't really enjoy fizzy drinks like coke either. Limited to stuff like J20 in restuarants really, which is of course massively overpriced.

I have a couple if we go out with mates or get hammered if its a birthday party, apart from that i dont really touch alcohol, your not alone :)

If i have a few beers in a pub that's a big night for me. Otherwise it's just a glass of scotch or cognac in the evening sometimes if i've had a tough day at work.

Though saying that, i still have about 20 cans of Guinneess in the fridge for xmas :P

nah, I love it.... lets me release all my frustrations lol.

I don't know if this is the same for everyone, but I hate going out with someone who isn't drinking - unless it's just a chillout night. Don't really like getting drunk myself if I know someone else isn't... don't know why :s

i normally have around 6pints when im out....

maybe a double rum and coke because its lovely.

I have binged many times in the past...especially at house parties etc...been really drunk can be good or really really bad...depending on the situation.

Ive been drinking since i was 13 when i first went to some house parties...so im more comfortable with it now...im only 20 like... but i dont binge or anything, i just take it steady when im out which is normally twice a week.

I don't drink either. I'll occasionally have a glass of wine but other than that, I can't really be bothered with it.

It saves me absolutely LOADS of money and leaves me with funds to spend on things other students cant simply becuase they spend all their cash on beer :)

For those who don't and are happy with themselves, keep not doing it. It costs a fortune and inevitably ends in all sorts of unpleasant failures of major organs. I like a drink because so much of it is so damn tasty but at the same time, I rather wish I'd never started.

I don't drink too much. Had a few the past couple of nights with things like works christmas party and a get together at a mates last night. But normally don't drink that much, have a few if i'm down town or something, but if i go to the pub with mates i usually drive because i'm not that bothered about the drink, i'm there to have a good time with friends.
