Hi, how has everyone else installed the front fan? And what have you done with the forward most top fan in regards to it clashing with the optical drive if used in the top drive bay?

I've got both the mentioned fans in but it's not perfect so would like to see if anyone has any suggestions.

Thanks

For the front fan, I simply used a normal 120mm fan, then screwed it in using M4 screws from the front. Don't try and get it in the case, it doesn't work, just screw it onto the brackets.

For the top fan. It's an oversight on NZXT's part. A 120mm fan should fit I think.

I have one, and got the same problem for both, but its what you get for a damn good bang for the buck case.

-Front fan, I just used english long screws and then screwed it in like that with some rubber washers too..

-top 2 140mm fans I had big issues cause my dvd drive is long too, so I just took out one of the other 5.25 inch bay covers/dust filter thing, and sprayed my dvd bezel black, and put it there instead, ignoring the top bay and just left the flapy thing there.
Still looks good.

But over all, am still very pleased with it. And you shall soon see my build log when am exams finishes.

Thanks for the replies. Ok, may try some M4 screws, should have some in the garage. At the moment my front fan is held on with cable ties but it is working very well and I'm getting less vibration than when connected with screws. Obviously it's not as neat as screws but it's behind the mesh so who cares.

I found you can remove the top flappy cover and with a bit of persuasion get your disk drive further forward with that out the way. I'm able to get a 120mm in behind it, don't think a 140 would be possible :(

Yeah, I never bothered with the 'stealth drive cover'. What's the point in a stealth drive cover that looks the same as a DVD drive?
