Anyone else pulling an all-nighter?

Please remember I don't have children when reading the sentence below!

Why not ignore the teething crys? There isn't anything you can do to stop the pain and you will just become completely knackered!

One thing that must be said about kids is that they don't get tired of crying, they'll keep going. And going. And going. No kids myself, but two younger brothers that I had to live through...

What age? Mine has watered down juice, keeps him cool and at optimal processing.

18 months - Got a stinking fever

I've never dealt with teething before, my other who is 8 now was 3 when he ran screaming into my life :D

Vaseline on his lips, bonjela on his gums and suspension in his tummy and he's still unsettled.

It gets better when he gets the runs :D

Actually there is a hint of truth in that statement. Don't over pamper.

Boots sell some teething powder which shouldn't work but it does. It comes in sachets and is sugar free, I just can't remember the name of the damn stuff. Pharmacist friends of ours scoffed at it when we told them and now they have their own little one they swear by it.

Will post later if wife remembers the brand name.

This is familiar. We had one of those soft gel type teething rings which we kept putting in the fridge. Kept the little 'un quiet until it warmed up, then back in the fridge. Rinse, repeat.

I have a baby boy (9 months) who has two teggies at the bottom and two coming through at the top with a further two on either side of the top two.

He is absolutely golden though, when they came through they just did, no whinging from him or anything, perhaps a little whinge during the day here and there at times but we really didn't know or should I say couldn't tell when his teggies were coming through.

He gets rosy red cheeks from time to time lately which I think is a sign he has teggies coming through and sometimes whinges, we rub bonjela on his gums and that soothes it.

He gnaws on just about anything he can grab as well :) He's asleep right now and will probably wake up at 6am for a feed then go back to bed till 8am and sometimes if we're lucky he sleeps right through, 50/50 really.

The biggest thing for us now is that he's just learnt to stand up not long ago and he can crawl quickly so it's a constant monitoring situation!
