Anyone else struggle to get comfortable?

Well I had the same problem in the Saab, which is generally considered to be very comfortable. It's not really comfort per-se, just being able to find a good position

The vultures can pick away, but I'm not changing any time soon and I wouldn't have seen the change of job coming, which had totally flipped my car usage on its head

I can go for a few weeks without adjusting the seat in my Leon, but then one day it just won't feel right, and I'll have to adjust the seat back.
I'll then adjust it every time I get in the car, it's very strange.
However, the Leon is very comfortable and I've never had any problems.

Well, I've had my thighs aching after a monster 10 hour journey, but that's about it.

I'll usually go for a while upright, and then maybe a week later put it back a bit...

The vectra B has terrible seats and a terrible driving position. I was only doing ~150 miles a week but it was giving me really bad back ache and shoulder strain, which would dissappear after a few days of not driving.

No such problems in the merc though.

I think I used the same seat memory position in my 330i for over 3 years, and I've used what I think is the same position in the 530i since I bought it.

Seats are a bit hard on the Fiesta, apart from that everything falls into place nicely and I can drive for a couple of hours before wanting to get out and stretch.

I've been in a few cars in my time, and let's see if I can remember how comfy I thought they were;

My old Peugeot 205: Seat's were fairly comfy in general but for some odd reason I always thought that I was slumped slightly towards the left constantly and never felt level!

My old Fiesta MK5: Exactly the same as my mum's MK6 Fiesta seats (I think they may be exactly the same??)

My GF's Fiesta MK4: Really struggle to get comfortable to start with everytime I get in the car, mainly due to because the car lacks driver's height adjustable seats and therefore my arse always feels like it is sinking down and the bottom on my legs feel way too high!

My Focus: Absolutely comfortable, always get comfy straight away and I love the slightly raised sides of the seats. The only downside to the seats is when the car has been sat in the sun all day & the seats are absolutely red hot! I suppose this is the same with all cars though!

On the topic of vauxhalls, I've never driven any myself but I do remember my mate saying who's got an old M reg Astra and he said that the seats in them are the most comfiest ones he has ever been in out of any other car he has been in.

Once I get the seat to the right position I'm fine in any car but if some borrows it and adjusts the seat the position I put it back to is never as good as the position it was in to start with until a week or so passes and I'm comfortable with the 'new' position. Rinse and repeat :(

For me it depends on the car, when I had a Vectra I think I must have adjusted the seat for some 3 years and never found a comfortable position.

I can't get comfortable in the BMW, which is weird given that I had one before and found it pleasant - must be the fact the leather seats are slightly different.

Any real 'old' car though tends to fit me like a glove - jumped in the Rover and that's immensely comfortable and very relaxing to cruise around in, mind you, a lot of those are inherently comfortable anyway.

Getting into a car for me includes simply slamming the seat as far back as it will go and making sure the mirrors are fine.

I tend to slouch and have my seat quite far back but tbh as long as I've got enough leg room I'll live.

You might be onto something, when I hopped in my dads mgb when he got it I instantly felt surprisingly comfortable!

I managed to get everything in the right place in the 156 within a week, I can now operate it in complete comfort and not do the back in on long stints. Seats never move now.

When the other half borrows the car, she adjusts the seat back height, and horizontal slider. I can always find the right position from this because I have the seat all the way down and can easily judge the horizontal slide with the position of my legs.

When we first shared a car though, it was terrible - she would move the steering wheel, recline, everything and I would be so uncomfortable for hours, even to the point where I'd get aches (Although, I'm sure most were psychological).

When I took my car to Ford a few weeks ago, the Manager took it out so I could demonstrate a noise it was making - he adjusted everything, to which I complained that he was supposed to be taking the car out as part of a diagnostic, not to get comfortable and have a nice drive - he was completely perplexed as to why I was so angry about him adjusting my seat. When the VXR went in to VX, the head tech (the only one who would work on my car) never moved it in the slightest - I'm sure it wasn't that comfortable as he was a good 5-6" taller than I, but I had the utmost respect for someone who respected my vehicle in such a fashion.
