Anyone else thinking picking up a console version of GTA brfore th PC release?

Nope..

tbh, I cba playing a game where I pretend to be a Gangsta Innit..

I had fun driving around in Liberty City, but that's all I did.. muck around doing stunts..

Nope, the community manager of the game i play atm has resigned to go and work for them in Dundee it's both companies.

are you sure? APB is being made by the guy who made the original GTA, now in charge of real time worlds (as already mentioned), Im pretty sure it has nothing to do with Rockstar.

I'm just going by what he tells me on xfire, says real time worlds with the guys that originally made GTA so in that respect i guess we're both right, i didn't think to check if they'd split away from Rockstar tbh. I'm actually quite interested in this game now because of him. He'll be the new community manager for the game, the same position he holds for the game Archlord right now and for him to be so excited and happy to be working on this company speaks volumes.

I will be getting it for the 360, hated Vice City/San Andreas on PC (except GTA III), the game needs a controller for me to make it feel better, and the achievments will make this game even more replayable.

The only way i will get the PC version will be for multiplayer.

I bought a PS2 when San Andreas came out but that was when they were under £100, I really don't fancy forking out for an xbox 360 or PS3 though this time round though. Oh and the fact that the PS2 only ever got used for SA and watching DVDs :p

You sure he's not pulling your leg/ ;)

I've already reserved my 360 copy. I must say it does feel weird getting to play GTA upon release, rather than waiting many months for the PC version as I've done in the past.

The actual story/campaign doesn't get me all sweaty, indeed it would appear to be rather more straight faced than its irreverent predecessors. What I'm looking forward to is the multiplayer side, and the hassle free mayhem which awaits. :D

Will I be picking this up for 360? YES. I haven't felt this eager for a new game since Half-Life 2. :D

I will be purchasing it for the PC when the time comes. But for now, 360 all the way. As Lunatic Dreyfus says, time to unleash the most awesome 'hassle free' mayhem anyone has ever encountered! :D ARAHAHGGHAHRHGHG I can't wait.

Oh, and for anyone that hasn't read it yet:

This got my GTA:IV multiplayer juices flowing BIG TIME.

Well mass effect and i think Ass creed was supose to be console only and there on pc now. Its just consoles like to be greedy and steal gta away from us pc users especially since gta 1 was originally for pc not consoles initially. IIRC.

Ive not decided if im going to get it on the PC as well, have it on pre order for the ps3, the only thing that will sway me to buy the pc version is if its got better mods, which is what i did with SA, have it for the ps2 and pc.

:( I won't be getting another 360 until I get my home theatre sorted out and it'll be out on PC long before then... so I guess I'm waiting a few months for the PC edition.

It'll be worth it though. All 3D GTA games have impressed. I don't rate GTA:SA as high as I do VC but I have yet to be disappointed.
