Anyone else want to drop O2 since the new tariffs?

It's also the fact that O2 lock down the tethering which REALLY grinds my gears. I was without net for a week when moving house and the tethering to my laptop would have come in VERY handy!

Orange are crap around here, looking at vodafone as they seem to be great nowadays. Just sucks as i have O2 broadband and i use the email address also.

I keep getting emails from O2 now regarding the new iPhone

7 Days to go!

Find out how many emails you can send with 500mb!!! OMGZORRR!!!

Ummm stop trying to fob me off!

I probably use nowhere near 500mb at the moment it's just the fact that i am getting a worse tariff for more money! In fact, the data is probably the best part of the tariff. I don't use many minutes or texts so the data was great!

Currently with O2 with an unlimited data simplicity tarriff, but I would have moved to a new 24 month one if they weren't capping the data. I've been happy with them so far.

Going Orange now though. :) Yes the handset is £10 more (£35 24 months) but I'd get 250mb more data each month, and Orange Wednesdays. Along with Orange's superior 3G network, I'm sold.

Just had a thought.

I'm currently on Simplicity 20 for iPhone – 600 minutes, 1200 texts and unlimited data.

If O2 are changing the data plans on 1st October will they be bringing the other allowances inline with their Pay Monthly smartphone tariff table?

According to that I will only be getting 300 minutes (but unlimited texts).

If they do that I would serious consider moving to Orange.

Currently over the next 2 years if I stuck to Simplicity 20 and bout a PAYG 32gb iPhone 4 outright it would cost me £1,080.

If I moved to Orange with a 24 month £35 p/m deal and bought the phone for £219 it would cost £1,059.

Now to me, it's not worth the hassle of changing providers for a saving of only £10 a year. However, if O2 cut my monthly minutes in half I'll be moving to Orange without a second thought.

You'd have to ask, but they'll probably keep the minutes / message allowance the same.

When I signed up to Simplicity 20 I got 600 minutes, 1200 texts but they changed the allowance a few months ago and never moved me (hence why this data cap is annoying).
