tbh the word "fanboy" is stupid.

nobody is a fanboy.

it all down to what people prefer.

i've always gone for amd/ati because of they features and prices...

Technologically ATI hardware has always very good, although I've always found them to be lacking in most other areas which is why I tend to gravitate towards NVidia cards.

If "bang for buck" is all that you care about then ATI are often the best option.

You have obviously not read the thread then.

There are such people who state they have a preference that makes no sense.

Irrational preference = fanboyism.

I dont think renaming cards is a bad thing by default, it just depends on the price tag they come with.

e.g if a 9800 gtx costs £150 and nvidia rename it to gts 250 and charge £200 then yes it is wrong, but if its cheaper then what difference does it make?

Most retarded post ever award, perhapse those people saying "Nvidia renames 2xx parts to 3xx" are the fanboys.

So you are making it clear you are a Nvidia fan then:rolleyes:

Well done you can have a blue peter badge

i have read the thread ..

i still don't agree that if a person have a preference that makes no sense to other people should make that person a "famboy"

if a person have a preference for any reason thats they choice.

some people here may think my reasons of going for AMD and ATI as no sense.

people don't think the same. thats life.

What's worse is if you point out anything negative toward Nvidia you automagically become an ATI fanboy, doesn't even matter if you own a Nvidia card.

For me i guess you could call me an ATi fanboy.

Ive only ever had ATI cards and ive had good experiences with them, I have no issues about buying a high end Nvidia the only thing that does put me off is the insane pricing for some of the higher Nvidia cards.

If Nvidia pricing was on par with ATI then il'd give a NVidia a whirl, but when i can buy a ATI card that works perfectly fine and is almost offers the same performance as a top end Nvidia card for 1/2 the price....

Doesnt take a genius does it!!!

Personally ive always thought Nvidia was for fanboys with WAY too much cash to spend, but i know different now even if some of the time it's still the case :D

Simple conusmer experience thoery..... if a customer has a good experience with a brand they will normally continue to buy that brand..... bad experience means normally they will avoid the brand!
