Had a letter pushed through our door from Netomnia today. They are saying that they are about to commence the build of their full fibre network (basically it was a letter informing that works will be taking place, saying we shouldn't see any disruption, but they apologise in advance if there is any)
Full fibre to the home, expected go-live date of October 2022 (I'll still be a year in contract with my Vodafone broadband, but I'm sure I can sort something) and will be offering speeds up to 10 Gbps.

Not familiar with the name, not one I've seen mentioned (I usually get jealous when I read of yet another city centre block of flats getting a 1gb connection for £20/month). Just wondered if anyone is more familiar with them or even use them?

Looks like Netomnia is just the infrastructure arm for YouFibre who are the actual ISP - see www.youfibre.com. Having 1Gb for £34pm sounds great to me. I've heard a few good things about YouFibre so don't suspect you'll have much if any issues.

I'm paying VM £74pm for Gig1 but it is the Ultimate package which comes with the full TV package, cinema, sports, 2nd TV box, Virgin SIM etc too. But if Openreach or probably any AltNet laid real FTTP to my home, I'd jump ship to get off VM's network. It isn't too bad round here, but I'd just feel better not on it. :D
