Anyone fancy a BMW 3 Series?

Dressing a standard road car up as a racing car = chav to me I'm afraid. :)

Then you have a very narrow minded viewpoint on motoring. How can you call that a chav-mobile, when this likes of Andy in his 1.2 Corsa drives past with his "PREDATOR" kitted Corsa?

Its a 320si... thats makes quite abit of a difference to what you are trying to imply me thinks. Its not your run of the mill 320.

Id have it without the colours.

It's a standard road car, apart from shape it has nothing whatsoever in common with the WTCC car it is dressed up as.

Maybe I have a slightly different perspective on these kind of things though as I have a background in motorsport.

Are these not homologation specials. I read BMW had to produce so many to allow entry into WTCC.

S'ok, but for 18K theres a lot more out there with more fun/appeal.

It's not a normal homologation car though, it has 100bhp less than the WTCC car, has a full interior, road suspension, brakes, wheels, no rollcage etc. It's a standard road car. I'm not even sure why they had to produce it really as it's basically a 320i with 20 more bhp.

I seem to recall (from an old Evo test) that it was produced for specific parts homologation...e.g. engine internals et cetera which on the road car are not used to the best of their abilities but on the WTCC cars allow them to crank it right up...

Ahhh makes sense, thanks for the info. So rather than being a homologation car, its a road car with some homologation parts on it.

I like it, think it looks pretty good.

Shame they didn't couple it with a slightly more powerful engine though...

Nice looking, but really... I wouldn't pay £18k for a car looking like that but could be annihilated by pretty much any chav.

'Pretty much any chav'?

Take a look at your city centre. The average chav is not driving around in cars which could 'annihilate' that car - only a handful have things like Civic Type R's and the like.

Amusing thread. Posted the link becuase I thought it was quite cool to find a car like that as an approved used car. I wouldnt spend £18k on it either but thats not really the point :p

Better to do it with a proper car rather than the learner version
