Anyone fancy physically assembling a PC for me??

IMPORTANT !!!!!!!!!!!

Before screwing the motherboard down, screw in the little standoffs into the case first. These elevate your motherboard off the case internal panel, as if they didn't the whole thing would short out, blow up, and probably take the entire country with you ;)

tbh you usually notice something is wrong when the I/O ports don't line up with the cutout long before anything gets turned on ;)

Some of our systems work out the same price assembled as just the components / sometimes fall a little under on occasion.

You also get phone support and a collection warranty to back you up if there is trouble.

This is what swayed me to get my prebuilt. No hassle of building, delivered to your door - plug and play :p

Hard drive failed a while ago and as it's a prebuilt system I didn't have to mess around taking the hdd out, I just gave them back the system to sort it out :D

Even if it's a few £ more, why not?

Cos where's the fun in that? Plus once you've built a PC any prebuilt doesn't really feel like "your PC" until you've had it in bits and invalidated any warranties it came with :P

If it hasn't been mentioned before (haven't read every post in this thread), make sure you follow correct ESD procedures, when assembling your PC. You'd be surprised at how many people have fried electronics by not doing so.

If anyone is after a custom build we can modify what we offer.

Just drop a call to sales and they can talk you through a few options.

If you want you could simply post a big pic of your mainboard and case/component cables and we could talk you through the process :D

Hi,

Im in Walsall, so im not too far away.

Is there a way to PM you my email or phone number incase you get really stuck?

I have built a few (bout 20) computers so should be able to help you out if needed, or if you want to arrange a time for me to build it let me know.

I have plenty of free time at the mo (Just been made redundant and studying part time for a CompTIA A+ certified technician and Microsoft certified Desktop support technician) Also im on half term for the next 2 week (Im 33 and on half term!!!)

So if you need any help giz a shout.

I would build it for free as Im planning on building a similar system for a family member, but would have to ask for petrol & parking money.

Paul

EDIT: I would expect about an hour (but allow 2) to build, and another one and half to 2 and half hours to install the OS and drivers and check all is OK.

I'm fairly sure I could do it.

But I also suspect it would take me quite a while.

And I' not sure I can:

a) find the free time

and more to the point:

So, I'm investigating the alternatives!!

"b) cope with 'the wife' giving me grief about all the other things that need doing!! ;)"

Sounds like you need to get a hold of your marriage, it's half a day, tell her to stfu.

Man or mouse?

:)

Man or mouse?

Trouble is she already puts up with a lot!!! ;)

But, I have a cunning plan...

We've some spare office space at work... so the odd hour or so over the next week ought to sort it out! :p:D:p:D

It will arrive home as a finished product!!
