Anyone find London a bit overwhelming?

Overwhelming? No as I've lived here nearly all my life.

Would I like to get as far away from London as possible? Hell yes, sooo many better places in the world to live. Unfortunately just like probably 90% of people who live here, i'm stuck in the rate race cycle due to having a cushty fairly well paying job in Centralish London.

Its probably because of what I'm used to and that this was central London. And it was long before things like ulez. It was quite scary when you can smell pollution. That every lung full must be like that.

O so you have not been to London recently.


If thats the case then that is not fair to judge London based off of being there decades ago.

Ulez has been around for ages and so has congestion charge which made a big impact itself

Indeed. When you're used to sea air and countryside living cities always feel dirty in comparison. It's not just London. Regardless of ULEZ London and other big cities are polluted by comparison. It's not a dig at London it's just the way it is when you're a country bumpkin

Oh yeah it's same for all the big cities. Like Birmingham centre too. Those are only 2 big cities I've been to recently. Cardiff is quite small in comparison
