Anyone getting Bioshock? (PS3)

this was awesome game, going to play it again on pc now lol, not going to be so nice to the kids this time though muhaha

i missed bioshock as i never got round to buying it but wont be getting the ps3 version

the pc/360 versions are dirt cheap and i would sooner play it on pc as i dont like fps on my ps3

Really enjoyed this on the 360, it had a good story line and I hate FPS's on n00bstix, much prefer mouse and kepboard. Saying that though, dunno if I would go for the PS3 version.

Would you kindly..

Entertaining game, but I'm going to go against the grain and say that it has little replay value, so if you haven't played it before, pick it up on Xbox or PC if you can, as it is quite cheap these days, rather than wasting money on a full priced PS3 release.

Yeah no replay value whatsoever for me. Got it on PC and only completed it once. Even then it was a chore, the game after 'that' bit was boring as hell.

I'd like to see the new content so perhaps a rental, however I reckon it'll just be crappy stuff they cut out the original game then tacked it on to the PS3 version.

Bought it on steam and didn't complete it as I got really bored with it... that said, I'm still considering picking it up for PS3 as it has trophies - do I have a problem?

Probabley will pick Bioshock up, even though when I borrowed a mates 360 with it I thought the game was pretty average.

Didn't help that the wife kept moaning about the noise the console was making so only ended up playing short bursts of 20-30 mins at a time :(

Bioshock is a step forward in terms of storytelling, cinematic direction and artistic creativity for all of the gaming world.

It was a huge leap backwards for gameplay when compared to its predecessor, System Shock 2 however. I enjoyed the first segments of the game purely because of its fantastic production values, however once the scene had been set and the characters introduced the gaping flaws in the gameplay began to emerge. By about 3/4 of the way through the game i was able to beat a big-daddy to death with a wrench (in normal difficulty), due to the complete lack of challenge i gave up, never bothered to complete it.

So yeah, i won't be buying it for the PS3.

Intresting if true,

"Although it was still an early build of the game, the title looks fantastic. The water effects look much slicker, as do many of the environments as they are slowly submerged in water. It's quite obvious that 2K is taking full advantage of the PS3's Blu-ray discs to pack in cleaner high resolution textures for every facet of the game; while we didn't see any pro-pixel leatherization diffusion within our early sections of the title, we wouldn't be surprised if it makes an appearance in the later stages, such as Arcadia or Fort Frolic. 2K has also taken the time to add in some subtle touches, such as informative elements during load screens. While these loads don't take a lot of time on the PS3, players will be able to switch between slides that feature Rapture advertisements, gameplay hints or tips, and quotes from notable gameplay figures."
