Anyone getting Metroid Prime Trilogy? (Wii)

All 3 Prime games on one disc. The two GC games now have waggle controls.

I'll be getting it as the controls in corruption were spot on.

Does it add Widescreen mode to MP1? any other graphic improvements in the earlier games?

EDIT:

Visually, the titles included in Trilogy look slicker than the originals thanks to 16:9 widescreen support, a few replaced textures and models, and an improved HUD (particularly the scan visor). Naturally, Metroid Prime is not going to look quite as pristine nowadays as it did back in 2002; however, it still looks better than the vast majority of Wii titles.

Metroid 1 and 2 have widescreen modes now.

Some metroid 2 bosses are now slightly easier.

Full Prime 3 controls in the originals.

I have preordered and cant wait!

Apparently 1 looks nicer too!

16:9 is supported in all three games along with 'improved textures' for the first two.

I already have 1 and 2 on gamecube (Years ago got 1 when it came out then got stuck with not enough save points and kept dieing and got 2 for £5 and didnt really play it). I might consider getting all 3 when they're cheap.

Metroid Prime Trilogy can be had for £24.99. Thats pretty cheap already for 3 games in 1.

That is a pretty good price, well worth buying if you missed out on them previously. I think I'll give it a miss though as I could play through the other two first before I buy into this (not bothered on wii controls

).

I'm planning to pick it up second hand. I imagine the shop might think I'm a bit weird trading in my 3 MP games for the trilogy though!

Really want to replay MP1 and 2 with the Wii controls.

Trust me, playing Metroid with the Wii controls works perfect. I couldn't imagine playing any of the Prime games with the GC controller.

I did both MP1 and 2 on the GC back in the day, no fuss, works fine. You've just been spoilt

Plus you don't get 'dead wrist' from holding and waggling the remote all over.

I also played the first two when they came out on the GC. I know how they control. You don't actually have to waggle the remote too often.

I'm reading that the effects are only missing in the first game to save some space since all 3 games are on 1 DVD9 disc.

Wow, it does look noticeably worse. I've played (and completed) all 3 and I actually preferred the GC controls over the Wii, so I'll probably give this title a miss. I still have all 3 copies so there's no real need for me to get it.

Can't wait for the new Metroid though!
