Anyone going to i28 this year?

Would there be problems if I bought my paintball gun and done some BOOM HEADSHOT fragging of my own? :cool: :D

On a side note I started my own cs 1.6 clan about a week ago called (-ftH-), only got 5 members so far and none of them are going to i28, if anyone of any skill wants to join let me know, especially if your going i28 cause I would like to enter the cs competition as a clan, not just a mix. I've got my own uk 12 slot public clanserver and a 10 man private for matches/tranining and a 30 man ventrilo etc. so I'm pretty serious about it, hopefully a good clan in the making.

Yeh I think i'll try and attend. Last I - event I attended was I - 7 although I was there for the first and second :)

Would love to go although the prices have gone though the roof since '99, so will look into it.

Lol why did you say you hated it so much, then completely u-turn.

BF2 is a wicked game lads, seems most of you play that and that's gonna be the main tournament at i28 no doubt? I've got the demo installed and the graphics am minted, I'm good as well I just play that one demo map over and over again, I played BF1942 for about a year though so I do have some experience. I'll defo have to buy the full game asap. I could do with a totally new upgrade as well, I'm still on the aging 754 socket platform with a athlon64 3400+ at 2.6ghz, x800xtpe etc. I wanna upgrade to a good crossfire Conroe motherboard and get a 2.4gig Conroe and clock it up to 3gig, then slam a x1900xt and 2 gigs of ddr2. That will be a ****ing sweet rig for the lan, probably one of the best there.
 
Oh i still hate BF2, it isnt what it was when it first came out, too many things about it annoy me after a year of playing it (or from whenever it did come out)

Im on an Opty 146 with 2gb and an X1900XT ;)
Are these conroe things good then? how about for games?
 
The best mate, Intel finally realised their Netburst architecture was a steaming pile of ****. Dual cores, 65nm so runs cool, shorter pipelines lower clocks more work per cycle like amd but much much faster than amd, even the fx62 isn't close in performance, it's also faster in games than amd for the first time in years.
 
Won't be making it sadly - think I'll still be knackered from the LAN I'm running two weeks previously :p It's actually really hard to choose a date that doesn't clash with other LANs, y'know...

I'm sorely tempted by the outdoor Festival LAN though. Not really for the games playing, but the FREE HOG ROAST...I'm there! :p
 
The i-series really is a mix of everything, of course you'll get some of the uber geek stereotypes but you'll also get the people that go and spend about an hour on the pc total. For me its really a social event due to the bar being there among other things.

Regarding non-pc stuff, football thing as usual, also a dance dance revolution tournament if you think your coordination is ok. To top it off of course theres the drinking contests too. Lots more things to do but it really is what you make of it, if you go there expecting to play 24/7 and get bored, well thats what you'll do i guess.

I'll be there attending my .... i think its 15th i-event now.
 
ill probably be there, went to i27 as reason-gaming but ive since quit the competitive gaming thing (as of a few days ago) will prob either be in a fun team for the css tourny and joking about with the twisted play lads, or might be in the inspire-gaming team if they really need me, but im hoping they wont :p
