anyone gone from wireless mouse to wired?

I have a Performance MX and do a lot of FPS gaming. It's pretty good (excellent ergonomics) but a few things annoy me with it; Battery life is terrible, replaced with a good Duracell rechargeable but even still, the scroll wheel feels loose and wobbles, it's weighted all wrong as the battery is in the rear so it lifts off at the front and I can feel a tiny amount of lag - would be fine for everything other than FPS.
Aside from that its a good mouse.

But I'm currently looking at two others, the Logitech MX Master (wireless I know) and the Razer Mamba Chroma Touranment Edition (wired). I'm not interested in stupid levels of DPI, just a solid dependable mouse that I can plug in and forget about. Has anyone used the high DPI Razer mice? Is it worth getting?

I had a Logitech G700S, a top of the line wireless mouse but it was beset with problems such as crashing software and reception problems.

I'd have just gone back to Logitech - Their CS is apparently very good anyway, but I've been using a 700S since the day they came out with not even the slightest hint of anything being wrong. I switch from wired to wireless and back more than my Mrs changes her mind!

Might it have been some other signal in your house interferring?

As for wired - Bungee-crane thing, or tidy the cable so it doesn't drag or catch on anything. Braided seems better than just plastic-sleeved.
Personally I've never had any issues using wired mice, really and a few inches of cable doesn't seem to hinder even the slightest of movements.

Do you claw or palm?
High or low DPI?

I've got some cupboards over the top of my desk and I've screwed a hook in the bottom and suspended the mouse cable down behind the monitor so I have zero drag :)

I had an MX1000 for years until it was murdered in a fit of rage :D Had the same G500 for a few years and it's just as good. The wire annoys me when it snags, but it's not enough to warrant buying a new mouse.

Yep, used to have some fancy Razer wireless mouse (can't remember the name but came in an awesome display case). Was fed up of running out of battery and the wrong moment (it made into a wired mouse essentially).
Do sometimes miss having a wireless mouse, but you can't beat a wire :)

I went from a 8+ year old MS wireless intellimouse explorer 3.0 to a cheap Gigabyte M6880X Laser Mouse.

I really like the Gigabyte's feel and the fact its so much lighter makes it much easier to use. I've got an issue with it (keeps pausing/freezing during games/desktop use), so have plugged in my old wireless and I hate the wireless thing again. I don't know if its the weight of it or what but it makes my hand ache after a few hours of use :(

With regards to the wired mouse, I have a speaker next to my monitor which I hook a kink in the cable around to make use as a free bungee. It works a treat for me :D

Had a Logitech MX for a while but it got to the stage where it needed charging so often that I was nearly always playing with it wired, and it's a fairly rigid cable so felt rubbish.

Now use a Steel Series Kana V2 which is pretty nice, but it's my first wired "gaming" mouse do I've nothing to compare it to.

I had/have a Logitech performance MX, really like it. But there was lag between mouse and action in games so got a Logitech G502 to game with. really nice mouse.
