Anyone good at maths???

Its nothing to do with being lazy. I help out when the calls are mantic but I also have my own job to do. So I need to work out when I have time to do the more time consuming tasks.

As for seeing management, they havent got a clue or I wouldnt ask here. I am sure I can work it out. Just asked as I was doing something at the time and thought someone could be of help.

Thanks for the positive comments.

The question was more on my own time management. So i have to do my work but I help others, but if i worked out where we are safe then i can do other things.

PS There are no macdonalds in my area.

Working in a call centre you are not in a position to decide on when you are on the phones or not (unless specifically in a position to do so like you seem to be).
You are on the phones for a reason, because the resource team think you should be (because its stupid busy).
Forget management, i agree they wont have a clue, go speak to the resource team (who by using a work force management tool (i would list many but it would be pointless)) who will tell you when you can go offline to help others (by putting an exception into the WFM application).

Believe me, there are tools that someone in your setup will be using that will be telling them in realtime and intraday (for rest of day) when is the best time to take off.
