Anyone good with electronics?/Midi controllers

I am after something quite specific, so wonder if anyone can help me either find something suitable, or make one from scratch.

What I am after is a midi controller with a single button. Ideally I need to be able to hold it in one hand and operate the button with my thumb (A bit like a syringe, but with the midi connector at the needle end.) If I can set the actual midi command it produces then even better.

It will be used for a theatre AV system, triggering sound and video effects. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you thought about using a midi controller expression pedal? I think It's sort of what you want.

I've never used it nor would I have the expertise to use it. But if you know what you are doing (and happen to have a wii controller) then this might be of use:

I was just going to suggest the Wiimote as well. I've used one before now to do all sorts.

The wiimote certainly looks like an option. A bit more complex than I need it, but should do the trick. but how does it connect to a Mac though? is it Bluetooth? Ideally I need it to be wired, as I need it to work 100% of the time, without fail!

It's bluetooth, but it's rock solid. I've never had an issue.
